Web funnel privacy notice
Updated October 19, 2026
This notice explains Imagine Golf’s funnel measurement and optional Meta advertising tracking on this quiz website. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
What we share and why
When advertising sharing is enabled, Meta’s Pixel can receive browser and device information, IP address, cookie identifiers, and this website’s address. After a verified purchase, we send the amount, currency, and a purchase event identifier to measure ad performance and help improve ad delivery. This advertising use may constitute a sale or sharing of personal information under US privacy laws. We do not send your email, quiz answers, or payment card details through this integration.
With the same advertising permission, we also report verified initial Stripe purchases directly to Meta through its Conversions API. This can work even if you do not return to this website after payment. The report includes the purchase amount, currency, payment time, a purchase identifier, permitted Meta click or browser identifiers, and your browser’s user-agent information. It uses the same purchase identifier as the Pixel so Meta can recognize both reports as one purchase. We do not add your email, IP address, quiz answers, or card details to this server report.
Your choices
For visitors identified as being in the United States, this tracking may operate without an opt-in. We honor saved opt-outs, Global Privacy Control, and Do Not Track signals. Outside the United States, or when location is unknown, optional tracking requires your permission. If we cannot check your privacy context, tracking stays off.
Use Do not sell or share my personal information below to turn off this advertising sharing immediately for this browser. No account or verification is required. Privacy settings lets you change your choice; an active browser opt-out takes precedence. You can also opt out if you are visiting the US from another jurisdiction.
Storage and retention
This site stores privacy choices in your browser. An opt-out remains until you change it or clear the site’s storage; an opt-in is valid for up to 180 days. US eligibility is rechecked on each page load and before purchase reporting. Local measurement records expire after 30 days. We use the hosting platform’s approximate country information to select privacy settings; this feature does not store your IP address or precise location. Meta’s own retention and processing are described in its Privacy Policy.
When you begin checkout with advertising sharing enabled, we keep a private copy of your permission and matching identifiers for up to 24 hours. A random withdrawal token in your browser lets an opt-out cancel pending server reporting without signing in. We recheck that permission before sending or retrying. Matching data is removed when delivery finishes or expires; a record containing the purchase event identifier and minimal delivery metadata is kept for up to 90 days to prevent duplicate reporting. Permitted click attribution in your browser expires after 30 days.
Opting out stops future sharing through this integration and removes its accessible Meta cookies and local measurement records. It cannot recall information already sent. Browser choices do not automatically carry across devices. If you clear storage, reapply your opt-out or keep Global Privacy Control enabled.
Server withdrawals take effect when our server receives them. If your connection is unavailable, this browser saves the withdrawal and retries when you return or reconnect. Keep the browser’s site data until that request can complete. A browser signal can affect server reporting only after this website receives it.
Cookie-free funnel measurement
When optional advertising sharing needs your permission, we show a cookie-choice banner. We also count banner displays, accepts, rejections, and privacy-notice clicks separately for non-US and unknown-location visitors. These are first-party daily estimates using the same temporary duplicate-check method described below. No analytics cookies, account identifiers, quiz answers, or Meta events are used for these counts. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track disable this measurement too. A saved rejection or browser opt-out does not trigger another automatic request to accept tracking.
Outside the funnel experiment below, we also count which quiz screens visitors reach and complete, including when optional advertising sharing is off. This measurement uses no analytics cookies or browser storage. We save hourly totals for screen views and forward actions. To avoid counting the same activity repeatedly, our server temporarily processes your IP address and browser information with a random secret that changes each UTC day. We store a separate duplicate check for each screen and action, with no shared visitor identifier or account-linked browsing history. These checks expire at the end of the UTC day; hourly cleanup removes them and the old secret. We do not save raw IP addresses or browser information in these records, or link them to your email, quiz answers, account, or Meta identifiers. We retain aggregate totals for 30 days after the hour ends, with expired totals removed by hourly cleanup. Hosting providers separately process ordinary request logs to operate the site.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track disable this measurement too. These counts help us find difficult screens. Counts are daily estimates: shared networks and browsers can merge visitors, while a different network, browser or day can count someone again.
Short quiz experiment
When this experiment is enabled, new browsers are randomly assigned to the full or short quiz. We save a random experiment identifier and the assigned version in browser storage so return visits show the same version. Existing unfinished quizzes keep their original route. Clearing browser storage or using another browser can create a new assignment.
To compare the versions, we record enrollment and whether the offer page was reached. These experiment records are retained for 30 days and removed by hourly cleanup. When you start checkout, the experiment identifier and version are included in the Stripe checkout record. This lets us connect the assigned version to the initial payment and compare purchase rates and initial revenue. Stripe checkout records are linked to your account and follow our payment-record retention; they do not contain quiz answers. This experiment data is not sent to Meta. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track stop new experiment measurement and attribution while keeping your assigned quiz usable.
Essential services and privacy requests
Your quiz progress, account creation, and checkout continue to work with advertising sharing off. These services and hosting providers still process the information needed to provide the website and membership, as described in our Privacy Policy.
